Your Details

Privacy

We ask for as little as possible, and we do not sell any of it.
This page explains what we collect, why, and how to have it removed.

What We Collect

Only what you hand us. If you subscribe, that is your email address. If you write to us through the contact form, that is your name, your email address, the topic you choose, and your message. If you suggest a brand, that is the brand name and anything else you choose to add.

If you make an account to build a registry or save favourites, we hold your name, your email address, and whatever you save. Nothing on this site asks for a payment card, a postal address, or a phone number. Purchases happen on the brand’s own site, so shipping details are given to them and never to us.

Why We Collect It

To write back to you, to send the newsletter you asked for, and to review the brands you suggest. That is the whole list. We do not build profiles, and we do not use your details to advertise to you elsewhere.

Who Else Handles It

Running a site means relying on a few outside services: one to host it, one to store what you submit, and one to send the newsletter. They handle your details only to do that work for us, and none of them are given permission to use your details for their own purposes. The one exception worth naming is Skimlinks, described below.

Affiliate Links and Cookies

We use Skimlinks and its affiliates, a service that turns some of our outbound links into affiliate links automatically. When you click one, Skimlinks records that the click happened so any commission can be credited to us, and it may set cookies in your browser to do so. This costs you nothing and does not change the price you pay.

More information about their data collection and usage is set out in their privacy policies at skimlinks.com/privacy-policies and taboola.com/policies/privacy-policy, where you can also opt out. How the affiliate side works in general is on our Disclosure page.

Cookies and Browser Storage

The site itself keeps very little in your browser. If you make an account for the registry, we store a sign in token so you stay logged in. If you dismiss the newsletter popup, we remember that for the rest of your visit so it does not reappear. That is all, apart from the affiliate cookies described above.

We also use analytics to see which pages people find useful. It tells us how the site is used in aggregate, not who you are, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

What We Never Do

We do not sell your details or share them with the brands featured on the site. Writing to us or suggesting a brand does not add you to the newsletter. The only way onto that list is to ask for it.

How Long We Keep It

Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe, which every email we send has a link for. Messages and brand suggestions are kept while they are still useful to us and removed when they are not.

Your Details Are Yours

Ask what we hold and we will tell you. Ask us to correct it or delete it and we will. You do not need to give a reason. Unsubscribing from the newsletter takes one click at the bottom of any email, without involving us at all.

We are based in the United States, so anything you send us is stored there.

Changes

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it. It was last updated in August 2026.
