Everything here is chosen with intention,so you don’t have to do all the searching on your own.
Our Standard
Every brand you find here is thoughtfully vetted through five pillars:people, planet, animal, origin, and health.
We look at how a brand cares for the people behind its products,the choices it makes to lessen its impact on the earth,its approach to animal welfare,the transparency of where and how its products are made,and the standards behind its ingredients.
We look for genuine, demonstrated commitment,and the strongest brands reflect several of these pillars.
How It Started
In 2015, our founder started a list:a search for brands that aligned with her values, yet still felt like her.
That kind of list didn’t quite exist in the way she imagined.Shopping with intention often felt overwhelming and just a little out of reach.
So she started building it quietly, slowly, and with a lot of care.
Years later, that list became this platform.What began as a personal search for something bettergrew into something we now get to share with you.

Why I Started the Shoppe
I started Shoppe Better Brands because I was tired of feeling like I had to choose between what I loved and what I believed in.
I’ve always loved shopping, and I’ve always cared about the world around me. Somewhere along the way, I realized they didn’t always align.
I studied and worked in fashion. I felt the thrill of new arrivals and trending pieces, but also the growing discomfort of knowing there was more to the story. The more I learned, the harder it became to ignore. And honestly, I didn’t want to keep shopping the same way once I knew better.
So I created the resource I was looking for. A space that values ethics and aesthetics equally. A platform where you don’t have to compromise your values to find something you love. Where better brands are easier to discover, and doing better doesn’t mean doing it perfectly.
This site isn’t a place for pressure or shame. It’s not about being fully sustainable or getting it right all the time. It’s about being thoughtful. Curious. Honest. It’s about asking questions, staying open, and choosing progress over perfection.
